Yes. I don't like Marcus Mariota. He's too quiet. He's not going to be a leader. Buckeyes made him look human. System guy.
No. Giants will take him at 9.
No, they have too much money tied up on the DTs right now.
He was the 65th rated safety by Pro Football Focus last season. He played 823 snaps. The Falcons must become better at the free safetyt position. Everyone wants to see what Dezmen Southward can do. He's smart, big and fast player.
I do not. Hopefully, he's recovering from his shoulder surgery.
Yes, they are going to have to trade up to get Dante Flower. Maybe to Jacksonville at No. 3.
Right now, I have them taking Todd Gurley. He's a top 10 talent. All of the DEs -- Ray, Beasley and Fowler -- will be gone and they won't take Randy Gregory. I don't think you reach for Bud Dupree at 8. Take Gurley and keep moving or trade back and take Bud.
The defensive front seven. They were 32nd in the league last season. That would be the DL and LB. OL could thrive in new zone blocking scheme.
That makes sense to draft for defense since the team was 32nd overall. But you have to take the best player available sometimes and not "reach" for players because you have a need.
I think both lines will be emphasized. They will try to develop a WR and take a RB in the draft.
@DOrlandoAJC Will they address their need for the OL or focus on youth/talent at the RB/WR position in the first few rounds?
Here's a question from twitter:
They know it. Won't discuss it until they get the "official" letter from the Commissioners. Referred to the ESPN tweet as a "random report."
Thanks for stopping by. We'll try to start moving on to the draft, but the NoiseGate story could dominate the action over the next week. Take care.
Football Stadiums are supposed to be loud. It's not a golf or a tennis match.
When I have that tied down. That will be news that we put in the NEWSPAPER! Not in the mailbag.
Best player at 8. Ray ran slow at his Pro Day. Could drop him out of top 10.
I'm thinking yes. He can play. Cut the guys who can't play. He might have to restructure though.
Thank for coming by. This was fun.
Wish list -- Justin Houston in FA. Leonard Williams in the first round. Todd Gurley in the second. Signed, GM D. Led.
I like Mario Alford from West Virginia as a breakout candidate.
