Yes, but it can be a quick rebuild/turnaround because they have the quarterb
ack and some pieces.
They have plenty character. Would love some more nastiess though. MUCH MORE NASTINESS!!!
Babs and Grady Jackson in his prime would be awesome. But Babs is 32 right now. Contract is up at the end of the year.
They are out there scrappy. Worrilow is making some tackles, but no impact plays. He has just one tackle for a loss. Bartu is rugged, but gets lost in coverage sometimes. Both will be fine.
Chat -- Tony was NOT at the open portion of practice. They were expecting him to come out for a little light jog. We'll see here in a minute and have an update.
He'd fit there on passing downs. That could work.
I think that's an old one. He's much slimmer now. But hitting the gym or may the Aqua Fit classes with me.
They will not win again until they block someone. TB held them to 18 yards on 18 carries last time.
Hey cousin CrackBaby, thanks?
Awesome, made it through all of the early questions this week. Just answering the live ones now.
MIKE -- Why did they send money on Steve Jackson he has done nothing.
LEDBETTER – He was cheap at 3 yrs for $12 million. He can’t do a thing without any blocking. Expect Sean Locklear out there before long.
That's what I'm thinking. They missed on some draft picks. That happens. But you can keep living with those mistakes.
MICHAEL VANCE -- What is wrong with the falcons this year, will they get a new coach and new quarterback. Will they beat the Bucs in Tampa
LEDBETTER -- Blocking and tackling are suspect. That’s a bad combination for this game. Won’t dignify the coach and qb question with a response. No, I think the Bucs will win.
JAKE MATTHEWS, OT, TEXAS A&M. Son of Bruce Matthews.
PALMER FRALICK -- Do you think Ryan could be suffering from that self doubt syndrome induced by "Am I really worth this contract?"
LEDBETTER – No. Two unrelated issues. He’s suffering from “man, my line needs to block better” syndrome.
1998 WAS OK-- Ok so Dled, everybody is questioning management, here my question, Why are we not questioning the FANS?? went to the SEA game last wk flew down from Tacoma to see my birds, and was appalled at the fans leaving, no pouring out of the Dome in the 3rd qtr. Sure I know everybody's frustrated but we've had 5 yrs of playoff appearance and were maybe 1 min from the SB last yr and this is the support the team gets? WOW, sad. I think mr Blank should take away every season ticket holder seats that has not showed up this yr (pull a Saban) until fans show support for the team they will NEVER have a winner I feel sorry for the players seeing more Seahawks fans in the 4th qtr than Falcons fans.
LEDBETTER –Yeah, that was a weak showing from the fan base. But my neighbor George is hardcore. He stays til the end every week and keeps cheering. He’s a real fan.
SAMUEL -- Why isn't Kevin Cone playing more, is he in the coaches dog-house.
LEDBETTER – I don’t know. I think he could help. But he’s also a key special teams player.
Yeah, don't hide. Anything could happen.
Coach didn't seem to mind risking injury last week. Mark Bradley pointed out that Coach Smith didn't learn his lesson from the John Abraham injury in a meaningless regular season game last season. That probably cost the Falcons a trip to the Super Bowl.
KINGOTH -- we need more people like spoon to show that level of emotion and that level of urgency. this clean cut happy go lucky finesse crap doesn't work for us. this city is in a state where it is demanding post season success from all of its teams, not just regular season. we are tired of being mediocre. are the players, coaching staff and owner aware that this is the team that is closest to winning it all but the fans see them as not caring or making REAL adjustments/moves?
LEDBETTER – There is a sense of urgency King. Sometimes the other teams are just better. All that emotion is just a waste if no one is tackling or blocking.
I don't think we'll see Dominique Davis until the Falcons blow someone out. Mike Smith kept the starters in the Seattle game at 34-10.
KINGOTH -- A Falcons loss to the Bucs would give both teams the same record at 2-8, which team has the momentum coming into this contest?
LEDBETTER – The Buc are coming off their first win of the season. The Falcons have dropped their past three games.
JIM HARRIS -- Why are the falcons so soft on offense and defense?
LEDBETTER – They fired their old weight training coach?
